Russian Women Singers and Girl Bands Hit the Charts Overseas

Nastya Zadorozhnaya – I will!

The singer did what nobody had done before. Nastya hit the main US charts with the song in Russian. In 2007, the track was located on the 41st place in the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks. "I will" had a chance to get on the Billboard Hot 100, if not a rule that the songs not issued in the States are excluded.

Valeriya - Wild!
In 2009, the single of this singer suddenly hit the Billboard Hot Dance Club. The Chart shows the popularity of the songs in American nightclubs. Valeriya’s track debuted at 48th place, and it was a national event. Almost all Russian editions wrote about the fantastic success of not the most popular singer. In order to be clear what kind of music conquered the Everest, the publications specified that the single "American Dream"of Britney Spears held 45th place then. Over time, the track managed to reach the 25th position and stayed on the charts for over 10 weeks.

Serebro
The girl's band Serebro has several tracks that flashed in various international charts. «Mama Lover» reached Hot 100 (national chart of Japan) to 49 th place. A Mi Mi Mi got the 88th line. The English-language version of "Mama Luba" lit in Mexico, reaching in Mexico Airplay (radiochart) to 19 th place. Residents of the Netherlands preferred “Mi Mi Mi”: in the Netherlands Digital Songs (chart downloads) single peak was on 8th line. But most of all Serebro was popular in Italy. In the hit parade of downloads four band songs showed: Mama Lover, Mi Mi Mi, Kiss and Gun.

Julia Kova
Singer Julia Kova had quite a successful debut on the international market. In 2008, her single Beep Beep got the 27th line in the Hot Dance Club Songs. A Sorry song lit up in the Japan Hot 100, the peak was the 88th line. In Japan, the singer enjoyed such success that she even planned to release a special version of the album, "It's me." However, due to disgreements with the record company the release was canceled.

t.A.T.u.
The main hit parade of UK got three singles: Not Gonna Get Us, All About Us and All the Things She Said, whereby t.A.T.u became first Russian band that got to the top of the chart. The song topped four weeks.
