July’1 - Canada Day
06/30/2015
Canada Day is the main state holiday. It was established in honor of the unification of all the North American colonies of Britain in the One Dominion of Canada (previously the holiday was named Dominion Day) on the basis of the British North America Act, which came into effect on July 1, 1867.

Canadians celebrate the birthday of their country with great enthusiasm. Thousands of people take part in the festivities which are held on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, the capital of Canada. Blocked traffic in the
streets of Canadian cities became a common occurrence this day. In all parts of the country public ceremonies and parades, concerts and open air performances, choir and orchestra performances are held. In the evening luxury fireworks display is held in many cities.

With all our hearts we congratulate all the users of MarmeLadies.com who come from this wonderful country! Tell your girl how you see the celebration and what traditions exist in your area. As it is quite possible that soon Canada will become her second home!
