Much loved by Ukrainian brides holiday of spring and love is at the cusp. All females, from little girls to respected grandmothers, are greeted with this holiday. This year the holiday is doubly pleasant as Ukrainians will be resting March 8 and March 9.
But every year on the eve of March 8 people ask themselves all the same questions: Where to go on March 8? What to give beloved ones? Gifts for Mom? Gifts for a girlfriend? What to give to colleagues?
We prepare the list of places to attend with your Ukrainian women once you’re in Kyiv:
1. On March 8 in the art pub “Bochka” there will be the performance of the Mandry band. A famous Ukrainian band will give a solo concert in Kyiv and will please its fans with a night of quality music and songs.
2. March 4-8 at the National Museum of Natural History of Ukraine, an exhibition of violets will take place. The exhibition will feature more than 1,000 varieties of flowering Saintpaulia (violets), Streptocarpus, begonias, Episcia, Columna and other plants.
3. Also, you can take the Tour “The Great Women of Ancient Rus”. Princess Olga, Queen of France – Anna Yaroslavna, Anna Byzantine, Gytha of Wessex, Gertrude of Poland and the other wives and daughters of Kyiv Dukes left a deep mark in history. During the tour, you will walk from the funicular to the St. Sophia Cathedral, gradually learning how they became famous and what obstacles they had to overcome in the name of their love and entrusted State.
4. On March 7 and 8 you will have a chance to listen to the music of world jazz legends Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, Nat King Cole and others at Cinema House. This evening the viewers will see the golden voice of Ukrainian jazz Ruslan Yegorov, the most famous Ukrainian saxophone player and founder of the jazz band “Skhid-Side” - Dmitry Alexandrov Bobin, as well as other representatives of the national jazz.
5. On March 8 at the Atlas Club there will be a concert by lyrical Ukrainian singer Maria Tchaikovskaya. Do not miss the chance to make your day filled with romance and beautiful vocals!
6. From March 6 to March 8 there will be a concert of the world-famous company of the National Ballet of Georgia “Sukhishvili” at the Palace of Ukraine. They are called the eighth wonder of the world, a hurricane on the stage and precious stones in the collection of diamonds. Let your evening will be truly compelling.
7. It is worth seeing the play “Women's Logic” at the Theatre of Drama and Comedy on the left bank of the Dnieper River. The name of the play is extraordinarily eloquent. Woman's logic is a strong belief that any objective reality can be overcome with desire. Where the mind is powerless – the woman’s logic wins!
8. The National Opera of Ukraine will present a gala concert to celebrate the 8th of March. If you are not a lover of opera singing, maybe it's time to take a fresh look at this art for you!
