Most Slavic girls like the saying of Lev Tolstoy that all happy families are alike while all unhappy families are unhappy in their way. Though the researchers of this phenomenon claim that this term is very individual, what is acceptable for one family is absolutely ideal for another one. Here are some controversial questions:
Extremes do not meet. Scientists have researched a great number of couples and have come to the conclusion that the happiest and long-lived are the spouses who have mutual traits of character.
An original test for compatibility was invented by the British scientists. They offered dozens of couples to take part in an experiment: live in a closed space for 7 days without a TV set, telephone, or Internet. As a result, 27% of couples broke off, 42% postponed the marriage. 55% of couples consider that there should be one leader in the family who make the most important decisions. Some Slavic wives think it should be a man, other ladies from Russia, i.e. 45% are sure that the responsibility in the family should be shared.
