In the 19th century parlour game known as “Flowers flirt” was popular. The players exchanged the cards with the pictures of different flowers this way expressing their feelings without words. This game has become history, but the symbolism of choosing flowers for a bouquet still exists. Here are the most common flowers in Ukraine and so much loved by Ukrainian women.
Carnation means bravery and courage. A white carnation means a wishing of luck, and a pink one symbolizes mother’s love.
Deep-bodied crevalle means balance.
Lily of the valley means tenderness.
Lily means purity, innocence.
Orchid means beauty, grace, refinement.
Rose will let your foreign pen pal know you are in love. This flowers also means worship. Red roses symbolize sensual passion, purple one mean irresistible desire. Pink roses is declaration of love. Flowers are the best present for your russian bride and she will be happy to receive a bouquet.
