The closer to the New Year, the more often you hear from others: "There is no festive mood, there is no Christmas atmosphere!" And you understand that in the daily routine you’re also not ready to the holiday.

And yet, you can create your mood yourself even before you buy the Christmas tree. A Little effort and you can get real pleasure from the magical holiday of the year. After all, if you have the festive mood you will share it everywhere including your family.

Here are 4 simple tips on how to create a Christmas mood:

1. Decorate the apartment! Tie bows of tinsel on the branches of indoor plants. Together with the children cut the snowflake out of white paper or foil and hang them on the walls. This is particularly suitable for those cities where there is pouring rain instead of snow at New Year’s Eve. Use garlands; they are good not only on the tree. Score a few small studs along the wall and drag a garland between them. Magic colored lights flickering in the dim light of the room add a sense of fairy tales.

2. Decorate the house with beautiful vases with tangerines. The smell of tangerines works wonders and can cause a Christmas mood even in the middle of summer!

3. Spend pre evenings watching Christmas movies. Update your New Year's film library to add a fresh feeling! In addition to the good old Russian movies "Enjoy Your Bath", "Carnival Night" and American "Home Alone," watch a few more Christmas films. For example, "The Family Man" - a wonderful film about family values, to realize that the main character (Nicolas Cage) comes a very intricate way. Or the wonderful animated tale "A Christmas Carol" with almost no recognizable Jim Carrey, playing an angry rich miser, who at Christmas becomes a kind uncle to help people and becomes friends. And also very nice and a good movie, "A Princess for Christmas," in which the poor dear American finds love and happiness with the English aristocrat.

4. Mull wine in the evenings. Here's the recipe: boil cinnamon stick, cloves and pieces of apple, orange and lemon for about 5 minutes in a small amount of water. Then pour a liter of the juice of red grapes and warm, but not boil. You can add a little-grated ginger and dried (preferably fresh!) rosemary - this will add piquancy. Buy a special Christmas mugs for mulled wine that should be used in winter only.
