In addition, among participants, there are jewelry stores Gold.ua, GoldSail, Clasno.com.ua, beauty shops Yves Rocher, Liferia, online toy stores and children's clothes Kid Butik, TopMall, Answear.ua, shops of digital and house appliances like Eldorado, Comfy, and Hello, etc.
Online stores promise grandiose sales on Black Friday in Ukraine enticing discounts up to 80%.
Sell-off trend in the form of "Black Friday" has begun in the United States. It has started after Thanksgiving because the traditional Christmas season of the greatest discounts and sales starts then. The tradition of making discounts this day was established in XIX century, and the term "Black Friday" appeared in 1966 in Philadelphia and it meant huge traffic jams on Friday due to the Thanksgiving Day, which was the day before. Due to the fact that Thanksgiving Day falls annually on the fourth Thursday of November, Black Friday falls in the period from November 23 to 29.
It is not considered to be the official holiday in the US, but many workers take the day off that day. Stores open early, around 5 am, and some large retail chains open at midnight. The first customers of Black Friday are offered significant discounts like 50-80%. of course, it is done in order to attract as many customers as possible.
In recent years, Black Friday sales have become popular in Ukraine, especially in major shopping malls and online stores.
