The day in our hemisphere is getting longer, and in some places, it completely replaces a night. Trees faded to give way to the lavender fields. Even whales in Iceland enjoy a light warming and often swim to the surface. We’ve remembered a few occasions to start your journey right now.

Carpathians

Occasion: daffodils and rhododendrons blooming

The beginning of summer in the Carpathian Mountains is meant to everyone who was working in the office and now wants to lie in the flower meadow and catch butterflies. At the foot of the mountain the summer plants are blooming now, and the spring snowdrops and crocuses are still there on the tops. Here you can see the whole carpet of a rare plant with bright crimson flowers that is called rhododendron. And of course, we can not ignore the valley of wild daffodils, which is a part of the Carpathian biosphere reserve protected by UNESCO.

St. Petersburg

The reason: the white nights

Excellent reasons to drive to St. Petersburg is the famous white nights. From late May, the night is becoming shorter and shorter, and in mid-June, it almost disappears. When the boundary between day and night is cleared, the city can be enjoyed many times longer. Of course, the existence of an infinite day is not only why you need to go to St. Petersburg.
Another city where the concept of darkness vanishes almost all summer is Tallinn. As in June, and in July, wandering the streets of a small and comfortable Estonian capital, you can lose track of time since the time of twilight lasts past midnight.
