It was the professor of the Carnegie Mellon University Scott E. Fahlma who firstly used a colon, a hyphen and a bracket as a symbol of smiling face in a computer text. It was 30 years ago on Sept'19 1982!

Nowadays none of us can imagine an on-line talk without it! There is a great variety of such symbols today, but this one is the best - so easy and so warm!

How often do you use smiley while communicating with a lady? We suppose it perfectly shows your mood, emotions and even mimics! Don't hide it! Smile really makes people closer!
